The Ministry of Digital Transformation has expanded the functionality of the eRecovery program: what's new

The Ministry of Digital Transformation has announced updates to the eRecovery program, allowing for faster submission of applications for damaged housing repairs.

There are two important innovations that simplify the process of obtaining assistance for Ukrainians whose homes were damaged due to Russian aggression.

Firstly, when submitting an application for compensation, you can now immediately request a certificate of no criminal record through the Diia app. This confirms that the applicant has not committed crimes against national security. Previously, local commissions independently verified this information, which could take several days or even weeks. Now the process is automated, and the commission's decision is made faster. Obtaining the certificate through Diia takes only a few minutes.

Secondly, legal representatives of the owners of damaged housing can now also submit applications for assistance. This is relevant for minors or incapacitated persons who have guardians. To submit an application, you need to contact the Administrative Service Center (ASC) and provide documents confirming the status of the legal representative. The funds will be transferred to an eRecovery card opened in the representative's name.

The eRecovery program started in May 2023. Since then, 65,000 families have received funds for repairing damaged housing, totaling 7 billion UAH. Additionally, 9,000 families have received housing certificates, with 3,000 of them already using the certificates to get new housing instead of the destroyed ones.
